Terms of use

• You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it.
• If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
• You can't use Game Vault if we've closed your account before, unless we say you can.

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. If you sign in with Google, keeping your Google account secure keeps your Game Vault account secure too.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
• Your handle and name mustn't impersonate anyone, or break the community policy.

Your reviews, notes, lists, photos and other content stay yours. So that we can run the service, you give us permission to store, process, copy and display your content: privately to you, and publicly only where you've chosen to share it (for example, your public profile, diary or picks, and the Community tab of a game). This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we have to keep for a limited time, such as backups.

You're responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to post it. Don't upload photos or text that belong to someone else unless you're allowed to.

Everything you post must follow the community policy. To enforce it:

• Content is checked automatically, by an AI model, when you save or upload it, and may be refused or kept private.
• Other members can report content, and our moderators review reports.
• We may hide, flag or refuse content, take a public profile down, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the community policy. We'll usually tell you why, and you can ask a moderator to look again.

Some features use AI models, which may be run by third-party providers: content checks, photo scans, spreadsheet imports, recommendations and taste profiles. The content a feature needs is sent to the provider to produce the result (the privacy policy lists what each service receives). AI output can be wrong. Check matches and suggestions before relying on them.

To tailor suggestions, we learn your taste from your activity on the site (see What we've learned on Discover, where you can correct or reset it). Unless you turn it off there, your likes and ratings also count, anonymously and only in aggregate, towards suggestions for players with similar taste.

Game details and cover art come from IGDB. Trophies, achievements and playtime come from the platforms you link (such as PlayStation, Steam and Xbox) and depend on those services and your privacy settings there. We're not responsible for their data or availability. Game names, art and trademarks belong to their owners.

• Break the law, or help anyone else to.
• Try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or get around the content checks, rate limits or security.
• Scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or use it to send spam.
• Sell, resell or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product.

You can stop using Game Vault at any time, and delete your account from the Account page: that deletes it and everything in it permanently. You can download a copy of your data there first. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the community policy, or if we have to by law. We may also change or stop parts of the service. If we stop the whole service, we'll try to give you notice first.

Game Vault is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or accurate, including stats, playtime, trophy data and AI results. Keep your own copies of anything important.

As far as the law allows, Game Vault isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by other members, linked platforms or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Game Vault after that, you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
